Job Requirements

Position Summary

The Cosmetologist provides cosmetology services honoring resident requests within the spectrum of services offered. Family requests will be assessed and honored as long as the resident does wish to have service and is able to tolerate service. During any service, if the resident wishes to stop the service, the cosmetologist will halt the service and will offer the service ONE more time at a later time/date. If at that point, the resident still refuses the service, it will be documented and will no longer be attempted.

The following services are offered to all residents:
• Ladies and gentlemen haircuts

The following services will be provided on request and dependent upon resident’s ability to tolerate services. The cosmetologist will determine this:
• Shampoo and roller sets
• Cuts
• Color services
• Perms
• Relaxers
• Dry curling/styling

Minimum Requirements

Education
• GED or High School diploma

Experience
• 1-2 Years of Experience as a Cosmetologist

License/Registration/Certifications
• SC Cosmetology License

Preferred Requirements

Preferred Education
• High School Diploma

Preferred Experience
• One to five (1-5) years as a Licensed Cosmetologist

Preferred License/Registration/Certifications
• Cosmetology license
