Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Hair Color Specialist / Colorist with an established book of business who thrives in a collaborative, professional salon setting. This is an independent contractor opportunity ideal for a motivated artist looking to grow within a more refined, high-end brand presence while maintaining autonomy and flexibility over their business.

What You’ll Bring
• Established and transferable book of business
• Expertise in modern color techniques (lived-in color, balayage, blonding, color correction, dimensional brunettes, etc.)
• Strong consultation and client retention skills
• Professional, polished presence aligned with a high-end salon aesthetic
• Ability to maintain discretion and privacy for high profile clientele
• Active social media presence and willingness to promote your work and the salon
• Self-motivated entrepreneurial mindset

Key Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional, customized hair color services
• Maintain and grow your existing clientele
• Actively promote your work and salon environment via Instagram, TikTok, and/or other social platforms
• Collaborate on salon marketing initiatives, events (busy award season), and promotions
• Educate clients on professional retail products and confidently recommend at-home care
• Maintain a clean, organized station in alignment with salon standards

Required Qualifications
• Active and current Cosmetology License in the state of California (in good standing)
• 3+ years of professional color experience
• Strong portfolio of work (social links required)
• Experience upselling and educating clients on professional retail products
• Passion for continued education and evolving color trends
• Desire to grow within a modern, updated, elevated salon brand

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
