Responsibilities
• Provide a wide range of hair services including cuts, trims, styling, coloring, and treatments tailored to each client’s preferences.
• Use salon software systems like Meevo to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Consult with clients to understand their desired styles and offer professional recommendations based on color theory and current trends.
• Upsell retail products such as hair care items, styling tools, and cosmetics to meet client needs while supporting store sales goals.
• Assist at the front desk by greeting clients, managing appointments, handling payments, and providing excellent customer service.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends through ongoing education in cosmetology, barbering techniques, and new product offerings.

Requirements
• Valid cosmetology as required by state or local regulations.
• Proven experience in hair styling, barbering, or related beauty services with a strong portfolio of work.
• Proficiency in salon software systems such as Meevo for scheduling and retail management.
• Knowledge of color theory to create customized coloring solutions that complement each client’s skin tone and style preferences.
• Excellent communication skills to understand client needs clearly and provide professional advice confidently.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build lasting client relationships through personalized care.
• Experience in retail sales and upselling strategies to enhance revenue opportunities while ensuring client satisfaction.
• Commitment to sanitation standards ensuring a clean workspace that adheres to health guidelines at all times.
• Store management skills are a plus for those interested in taking on leadership roles within the salon environment.
