The Role
Description
Our Salon team is seeking a current hairstylist with a clientele and an active social media presence; who loves doing hair, has a wonderful clientele base, and a person who loves focusing on being the best hairstylist for their guests and loves continuing education.
This is a salon supported by an owner and hairstylist that values service to guests and education to grow above all else. Here you will have new clients from the salon at a steady rate and you are also bringing in clients of your own. You will receive education in salon and you are also encouraged to be an educator to our team. Mentorship is as simple as sharing formulation knowledge, haircut or style techniques, or maybe you aspire to be an educator for a professional color line. We support your desire for growth here.
We are seeking a person who doesn't need to work five days a week more like three days a week. We value time off and a fair working environment that is designed to help our clients relax and feel at ease with a curated music playlist, cadence in the way we carry our energy in the salon, and a passion for being a talented, happy healthy hairstylist.
Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Perform hair styling, coloring, and cutting services while adhering to sanitation standards.
• Utilize salon software, such as Gloss Genius, for scheduling and managing appointments.
• Must be someone who loves education and goes at least twice a year to learn.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized. Clean is so important.
Qualifications
• Valid cosmetology license and at least two years behind the chair.
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Proficiency in attention to detail, cleanliness, strong work ethic.
• Ability to learn and open for feedback. Will call references.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 27 – 30 per week
