Master Cosmetologist

Job Summary

Duties
• Perform comprehensive cosmetology services such as haircuts, color treatments, styling, hair extensions, and straight razor shaves with precision and artistry.
• Deliver advanced skincare treatments including dermabrasion, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin injections, esthetic laser procedures, body waxing, and facial treatments to enhance client satisfaction.
• Manage salon operations efficiently by utilizing salon software like Millennium and MINDBODY for scheduling, client records, and retail sales tracking.
• Provide expert consultations on hair care, makeup application, color theory, and product recommendations to meet individual client needs.
• Demonstrate product demos and upsell retail products confidently to maximize sales while ensuring excellent guest service.
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by adhering to sanitation protocols for all equipment and treatment areas.
• Lead social media management efforts by creating engaging content to promote services, special offers, and new treatments to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
• Support front desk responsibilities including appointment scheduling, guest check-in/out, and managing inquiries with professionalism.
• Stay current with industry trends through ongoing education in barbering, tattooing, nail care, eyelash extensions, body waxing techniques, and med spa procedures.
• Foster a positive team environment by mentoring junior staff members and promoting continuous learning within the salon.

Skills
• Extensive management skills with the ability to oversee daily salon operations effectively.
• Proficiency in salon management software such as Millennium and MINDBODY for scheduling, sales tracking, and client management.
• Strong customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Expertise in sanitation practices aligned with health regulations to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Deep knowledge of cosmetology including hair styling, coloring techniques, hair threading, nail care, makeup application, and barbering.
• Experience with advanced treatments like dermal fillers, botulinum toxin injections, esthetic laser therapy, dermabrasion, tattooing techniques, and deep tissue massage is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage social media platforms effectively for marketing purposes.
• Excellent communication skills to educate clients on products/services and promote retail sales through upselling strategies.
• Familiarity with retail sales techniques to maximize revenue while maintaining a focus on guest satisfaction.
