TWST Bar is a cultural homecoming for natural hair stylists and textured hair wearers. We believe people are the best part of our job and getting to practice our art is a privilege.

At TWST Bar (a full service, natural hair salon, focused on textured hair care), we honor the integrity of our naturally textured hair. Here, we take pride in promoting an afro-centered aesthetic that makes space for beautiful kinks, coils and curls to flourish. We are on a mission to build the most powerful and innovative team in this industry and we’re looking for team members who are ready for a change. We only offer three services :
• Two Strand Twists
• Loc Grooming
• Flat Twists

As a dedicated salon specializing in natural hairstyles, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and empowering environment for both our stylists and clients. We have a 100-Day onboarding program for anyone who we feel fits our team culture and is willing to learn. Hours increase in correlation with the completion of assigned training.

Qualifications:
• Must know how to perform at least 2 of the following: loc grooming, flat twists and two-strand twists to get started with styling immediately. If you're inexperienced with styling you would need to complete our training program BEFORE you're put on our styling floor, but you may be able to assist or shampoo prior to styling.
• Must be able to work on a team: Without TEAMWORK, this team doesn't work!
• Willing to seek growth: to supplement existing knowledge with additional knowledge of natural hair care.
• Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite, Zoom, and other technology.
• Must be punctual, have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, able to embrace challenges and seeking a career in the hair industry.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Immediate Availability to Start Styling
• Cosmetology or Barbering License (REQUIRED)
• Natural Hair Styling Certification (REQUIRED)

This position is for anyone who has at least some salon experience in the textured hair industry and is looking for stability and an encouraging team environment. Our marketing team focuses on bringing you clients, our client concierge handles all your clients on-boarding and our stylists get to focus on styling. We hold in-house classes.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
