Reference Test Clerk

LabCorp is seeking a Reference Test Clerk to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.This position will be responsible for preparing and sending specimens and test requests to Labcorp and/or contracted reference laboratory for testing, as well as releasing referral test results into the computer system.



Work Schedule: This is per diem/PRN position, up to 19 hours per week

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testingResearch, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problemsSend test requests to proper location and release test resultsAssist clients with any specimen related requests or inquiriesProcess specimens to be sent out to additional facilitiesProvide support to various areas of the laboratoryPerform sample sorting, racking and retrievingPrepare record logs in a timely and efficient mannerMaintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalentComfortability with handling biological specimensAbility to accurately identify specimensBasic computer and data entry skillsStrong communication skills; written and verbalAbility to work independently or within a team environmentWell organized and a high level of attention to detailAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods of timeMust pass a standardized color blindness test

Preferred Experience:

1-2 years of experience in a laboratory, or healthcare environment
