About Headchop Studio

Headchop Studio is a dry cut salon located in the heart of Williamsburg Brooklyn! We specialize in natural curl and texture, but service clients of all hair textures, shapes, and sizes. Our team of artists provide cutting and specialty coloring services to our clients. We're a small team who's books up fast and stays in demand! We are always looking for the right fit and welcome anyone interested in our studio to reach out about opportunities to grow with us!

LIL' CHOP IS OPENING JANUARY 2023!

As a sibling brand to Headchop Studio in Williamsburg, we service a wide range of clientele specializing in dry cutting, natural curls and textured hair. We are a commission based salon with a large and diverse range of clients. The concept behind Lil' Chop is to make what we do at Headchop accessible to more people.

Accessible How?

Lil' Chop stylists work with assistants so they can maximize their time behind the chair.

We specialize in dry cutting only and provide services to curly and textured hair folks that is not widely available. Everyone deserves amazing hair no matter the texture!

The design of our salon, and its concept excluding long and time consuming color processes, will arrange for an ability to service more people in a day. (our clients currently wait 1-2 months to book with Headchop!)

What are we excited about?
• Our custom styling bar for our Quickie services! (providing in and out blowout and natural curl set styling)
• Salon assistants they are the growth of the salon! our future stylists and your kind and excited helper!
• Hooded dryer chairs... LOTS! We use them all day long. We service so many clients with natural curl and texture.
• Products! We work with Ecoslay (a black-owned woman-owned small business based in Atlanta) and R+Co!
• Atmosphere! Think skylights, windows, industrial beams, a thriving neighborhood, and local community support!
• Lil' Chop Mobile We've got our own personalized APP for easy booking on the go!
• Lil' Members - We will provide membership options to clients interested in our style bar option. Memberships build a community and culture and that's where Lil' Chop and Headchop thrive! The more clients that join our community and regularly visit our environment they feel connected and invested in our growth and our journey. It's necessary!

Our team of stylists work with salon assistants allowing growth of their own time and work as well as facilitating a culture of collaboration. Lil' Chop is a place to grow your personal brand of styling and work with like-minded creatives that love to share and evolve together.

We are a woman-owned, queer business that proudly supports the LGBTQI+ community in New York. Headchop currently partners with The Gay Center NYC providing internships and is excited to grow and extend this relationship in 2023 at Lil' Chop!

REQUIREMENTS
• High skill-level in dry cutting
• Personal and Professional Drive
• Passion for hair and community
• A kind and inviting attitude towards coworkers and clients
• A cosmetology license in the state of New York of course!
• 2+ year of experience required for full time stylists! BUT we have options for those newer in their journey in hair.

At Lil' Chop our focus is dry cutting and styling only. We will not be providing color services at this location.
