Job Overview

GROW Hair Lounge is seeking a Shampoo Specialist & Salon Support professional to support our stylists, care for our team, and maintain the calm, elevated environment our salon is known for.

This is a detail-driven support role focused on shampoo services, supporting seamless client flow, light client prep, laundry and robes, stylist tray resetting, organization, and maintaining an immaculate salon environment.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys steady, repetitive work, takes pride in clean spaces and calm routines, and enjoys supporting a high-performing team without being front-facing or sales-oriented.

Responsibilities
• Arrive before the first client to prepare the space, set the day up for success, and ensure a calm, welcoming environment
• Perform professional shampoo and conditioning services and treatments, including scalp massage
• Prepare clients for services including draping and station setup
• Maintain laundry flow throughout the day (towels, capes, robes)
• Provide client refreshments as needed
• Keep bathrooms generally tidy and stocked
• Reset stylist trays and service areas between appointments
• Keep shampoo bowls, backbar, and stations clean, stocked, and organized
• Support stylists during services with quiet, anticipatory assistance
• Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the salon and common spaces

Responsibilities
• Prior experience shampooing in a salon or spa preferred
• Experience in a salon, med spa, hospitality, or care-focused environment preferred
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with little direction after training
• Comfortable performing steady, repetitive, detail-oriented tasks throughout the day
• Strong sense of cleanliness, organization, and time awareness
• Able to work independently while supporting a team environment
• Calm, reliable, and professional demeanor
• Comfortable with light client interaction related to shampoo services and refreshments
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks (laundry, restocking, cleaning)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 – 32 per week
