REPORTS TO: SPA SUPERVISOR
SALARY: DOE
POSITION STATUS: Regular PART-TIME, FLSA NON-EXEMPT
HOURS PER WEEK: 29
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a licensed and experienced SPA Therapist cosmetologist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for holistic health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver a range of massage techniques to meet the individual needs of our clients. The Spa Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality spa and salon services while providing exceptional guest experiences. This role includes performing nail services, including gel nail applications, and a full range of hair services such as cuts, color, styling, blowouts, and updos. In addition to treatment services, this position supports spa front desk operations, locker room upkeep, and ensures every guest receives top-tier customer service in a relaxing and professional spa environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the We-Ko-Pa Way: Smile and Greet, Name and Meet, Thank you, and Goodbye
• Perform professional nail services including manicures, pedicures, and gel nail applications.
• Provide full hair services including haircuts for men and women, color services, blowouts, styling, and formal updos.
• Conduct guest consultations to understand preferences and recommend appropriate services.
• Schedule spa and salon appointments using the spa booking system.
• Answer phones and assist guests with booking services and answering questions.
• Check guests in and out for spa and salon appointments.
• Process payments and retail purchases accurately.
• Educate clients about additional services and products that may enhance their wellness experience.
• Maintain accurate client records, including treatment notes and recommendations.
• Uphold the company’s high standards of customer service and professionalism.
• Promote spa treatments, salon services, and seasonal promotions.
• Recommend retail products and additional spa or salon services to enhance the guest experience.
• Assess client needs and adjust treatments accordingly to ensure maximum benefits and satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment room, following hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Maintain proper sanitation of tools, equipment, and workstations in accordance with state regulations.
• Ensure locker rooms are stocked with towels, robes, and amenities.
• Monitor spa areas to maintain a clean, safe, and relaxing environment.
• Assist with general spa upkeep and operational needs as required.
• Stay current with industry trends and continue education to provide the latest techniques.
• Attends appropriate resort and departmental meetings
• Has complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products. Upsells the services and retail products.
Front Desk & Spa Operations:
• Schedule spa and salon appointments using the spa booking system.
• Answer phones and assist guests with booking services and answering questions.
• Check guests in and out for spa and salon appointments.
• Process payments and retail purchases accurately.
• Promote spa treatments, salon services, and seasonal promotions.
• Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds and push or pull 100.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Any other duties as assigned.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
• Hear, reach, see, and walk for 67-100% of the workday.
• Eye/hand coordination for 67-100% of the workday.
• Stand for 80-90% of the workday.
• Bend and twist for 1-33% of the workday.
• Ability to perform massage services for extended periods. Stamina to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED
• Must hold a current Cosmetology License through the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology.
• Experience performing hair services, including color, cuts for men and women, blowouts, and updos preferred.
• Experience performing nail services, including manicures, pedicures, and gel nail applications required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced spa environment.
• Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
